My journey
For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about working with children. Their innate curiosity and joy inspire me, and I believe they have so much to teach us. Throughout my career, I have focused on roles centered around supporting kids and families.
I’ve gained diverse experiences, including teaching English in Mexico and Italy, working at a domestic abuse treatment center, volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for ProKids, and an elementary school teacher. I obtained my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and am a certified PCI Certified Parent Coach®. I also have certifications in Conscious Discipline and the Enneagram.
My professional work coupled with my personal life experiences has developed a strong foundation for me in serving children and families.
Becoming a mother in 2022 while teaching second grade in my hometown felt like a full-circle moment. Even though I was where I thought I wanted to be, my little one was guiding me to a new path away from the classroom. As I stepped away from teaching to be a full time mom, I was looking for ways to support my family from home. I feel incredibly blessed to have been led to the Parent Coaching Institute (PCI), where I discovered a newfound passion for Parent Coaching. As I read PCI’s website, every word resonated with me, confirming that it was the next right step on my journey.
Evolving into a parent coach has not only been a transformative journey for me, it has also allowed me to blend my love for early childhood development and dedication to serving families. It’s incredibly rewarding to help parents navigate their unique challenges, celebrate their successes, and witness the stronger connections they foster within their families.
In addition to coaching, my dad and I co-authored our book, “Dad! Don’t Throw Your Gum Out the Window!”: A father and daughter share their journey amidst great suffering and great love. The book is a compilation of our father-daughter conversations, coupled with our individual perspectives on those talks. We reflect on the evolution of our relationship as dad and daughter - from a hierarchy with a father thinking he knew best to a relationship based on mutuality, where Love honors the essence of each other’s souls.
Outside of my work, I’m all about diving into new experiences with my family and friends that light up my curiosity and passion for life—while still enjoying those cozy moments at home. Sharing day to day adventures with my son is an invaluable gift. Whether we’re hunting for hidden gems in nature, working on house projects, or enjoying a picture book, I strive to find joy and gratitude in the moment—and pass that love of life on to him. I make the choice for each adventure, big or small, to energize my soul and inspire me to savor the joyful chaos of life’s journey!
